square with Obama’s message of “change”?
Seems like “business as usual” to me.

Your right. Biden is just another Washington insider, more of the same old politics.
Know better? Leave your own answer in the comments!
4 more years of BUSHCO, in the form of McCain. Unfortunately, GOD help us!
Hey Mike if Biden serves the 3rd role, where does Obama fit in, dont see him in the other 2!!!
So much for a “new” “better” washington. Obama is being seen for the fraud and phony he has always been. This isnt about America or “the people” this is about Obama being president at any costs. I HOPE you like Obamas CHANGE because it looks like same ol same ol to me…
Don’t know Joe Biden that well -but I feel that he will put Bully boy “PUNK” McCain back in the closet where he belongs.
Every revolution needs three people at its core: a true genius, a person who can explain anything to anybody, and somebody within the current system willing to stand up and legitimize the revolution. If Obama really has big changes planned, Biden serves that third role well.
Biden is not a Washington insider. He doesn’t even own a home or condo there. He took the train home to Delaware every night to care for his children. After winning his Senate race his wife and baby daughter were killed in an auto accident. Sons were injured. He was sworn into the Senate in his son’s hospital room. He always went home to care for his family that was left. He was not you’re regular Senator sitting around shooting the bull with lobbyists at cocktail parties. He has never been involved in one scandal in 36 yrs. in the Senate. And he knows how many homes he owns-one in Delaware.
A lot of Senators and Congressmen have big-time black marks on their records — and Biden is no exception.
He flunked a class in law school because he committed plagiarism (he ended up passing the class after he repeated it), and he graduated near the bottom of his law-school class.
Not to mention his “articulate black man” comments.
Is this the Dems’ idea of “change” and “hope”? By choosing as a VP candidate a long-serving DC insider with a spotty personal record?
.
The call for change is about the PLATFORM, not the VP. The VP is meant to help realize the candidate’s platform…Biden can and will do that.
Being a partisan career politican and Washington DC insider bothers you….but you are voting for McCain. Right, ok. What’s you point again?
Biden is qualified and brings a wealth of experience.
He’s also not your typical elitist Senator. He’s 99th out of 100 in wealth in the Senate, and given the years there….he could definitely have spent some time making some. He has a son overseas in the military even.
This is a blue collar guy, and people will see that….especially when contrasted with Mcain/Romney’s 20 some houses and various private jets & $ 500 shoes. This stuff is going to be made very apparent over the next few months, just watch.
Just remember that Obama will be the President, not Biden. Obama is responsible for anything and everything that comes out of the
White House, not Biden. So that doesn’t change his “change” philosophy.
Obama ’08.
I thought Nancy Pelosi picked a great VP for Obama. You don’t think Obama made that pick do you?
You are correct. I was a supporter of Obama until this morning when he blatantly backtracked on his whole campaign of change by selecting the ultimate washington insider, Biden, as his candidate. Now I have no one to vote for since my state only permits dems and repubs on our ballot.
